Upon joining Eurotech as a Machine Process Coordinator and Project Manager, Mauricio Silva made it his priority to enhance their ongoing digital transformation efforts. “GoFormz was already being used before I started,” explained Silva. “But then we came up with a need for it in our applications department and realized there was more that could be done.” Originally, Eurotech's digital forms were merely used to gather data without any established automations or specific actions to utilize the collected information. “It was just something to fill out and that's it. There wasn't any data source or workflow report. And then that's when the need showed up.”
Eurotech's applications department utilizes an internal report to monitor billable hours and the corresponding tasks completed on a given day. Initially, one digital form was being shared between their two departments. “The form for service was actually being shared with applications, but they are different departments. They have different needs, different types of service to provide, and we need different data for each department,” explained Silva. That’s when Silva came up with the idea to create the digital application internal report.
The digital application internal report is equipped with various features and functionalities that streamline the form-filling process, saving the team significant time. Leveraging Data Sources in conjunction with Drop Down menus within a Table field, the Eurotech team can efficiently choose from a predetermined list of items to indicate the work performed on a given day. “Our team can now fill out their form in 5 minutes rather than spending half an hour on this detailed report,” explained Silva.

In the same Table, form users can input the number of hours they devoted to individual tasks. The Automated Calculations feature then uses it to instantly compute the total hours worked at the bottom of the digital form. “We want to make sure we are tracking every single hour that they work during the week,” noted Silva. Automatic Calculations eliminate opportunities for human error while guaranteeing precise data capture for billing purposes.
Finally, the Eurotech team leverages the GoFormz Reporting Tool to garner actionable insights directly from their collected form data. “By creating these reports, we can redirect guys to what really brings value to the company, which helps us be more efficient.”

“Now we are working on that first variation of the form for the service in the field where we're going to show it to customers and get signatures,” explained Silva. The Professional Services team is actively engaged in developing the digital application engineering form, which will include additional Data Sources, customer authorizations, reporting functionalities, automated form routing, and numerous other features."
