Job Description
The Marketing Manager, SEO & Content, creates and executes strategies to grow organic traffic, engage target audiences, and convert visitors into qualified leads. We’re looking for a data-driven, creative, and strategic Marketing Manager to own and optimize our content marketing efforts, drive SEO performance, own organic traffic analytics, and derive insights that inform our growth strategies.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Own our comprehensive SEO strategy, including on-page, off-page, and technical SEO
- Optimize existing content for conversion, readability, and SEO performance.
- Lead SEO efforts, including keyword research, technical audits, backlink strategies, and performance tracking
- Collaborate with web development to improve site architecture ensuring website content is organized logically with clear hierarchy
- Monitor site health and collaborate with web dev to remediate issues; ensure mobile responsiveness and core web vital targets are met
- Monitor algorithm changes and adapt strategies accordingly to maintain and improve SERP, AIO and LLM rankings
- Own marketing performance reporting related to web traffic, content engagement, SEO metrics, and subsequent lead generation
- Administer and update reporting dashboards on platforms like Looker Studio and Mixpanel to clearly communicate SEO and site performance to stakeholders
- Establish goals and select clear KPIs for evaluating the success of SEO campaigns
- Monitor website performance using tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, SEMrush/Ahrefs, MouseFlow, Search Console and GEO tools to identify organic traffic trends, gaps, and opportunities
- Participate in developing the GoFormz content calendar, aligning content production with our top segments and personas
- Contribute to site content production, eg blogs, articles, and paid content development
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities and gaps in search performance
- Manage and maintain key SEO assets such as robots.txt, XML sitemaps, and canonical tags
- Advise on URL structure and ensure URLs are SEO-friendly
- Advise on redirect strategy and direct web dev to map redirects as needed
Required Skills / Abilities:
- Expert-level experience with GA4
- Strong understanding of technical SEO
- Strong experience with SEO tools: SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog
- Familiarity with LLM optimization techniques and tools
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS and technical SEO concepts
- Proven track record of scaling organic traffic and content performance
- Strong understanding of content marketing best practices
- Experience optimizing content in accordance with SEO best practices and in alignment with specific audience needs
- An analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into strategic insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or related field
- 5+ years of experience in digital marketing
